On May 26, 2021, ShanghaiRanking Consultancy released its ARWU, Academic Ranking of World Universities - Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. 19 Russian universities were included in the ARWU subject ranking, of which 13 are Project 5-100 universities. TSU retained its positions in 3 subject areas and entered the Energy Science & Engineering ranking for the first time.
According to the ARWU, Tomsk State University is included in group 101-150 in Metallurgical Engineering, group 401-500 in Physics, and group 401-500 in Earth Sciences.
This year TSU is represented in the subject area Energy Science & Engineering for the first time - in group 301-400.
