Two Charged After Man Wounded in Blacktown

Two people will face court today after they were charged with wounding and assaulting a man in Sydney's west overnight.

About 9pm on Tuesday 21 July 2026, officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were called to Mary Street, Blacktown, following reports of a domestic dispute.

Police were told there were a number of people arguing before an 18-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 41-year-man in the back during a fight.

A 16-year-old boy allegedly assaulted the older man and damaged his vehicle.

The 18-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were also injured during the brawl.

The older man returned to his home in Junee Street, Marayong where NSW Ambulance paramedics were called. He was taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment.

Police established a crime scene and arrested the 18-year-old man and 16-year-old boy on Mary Street, Blacktown.

They were taken to Blacktown Police Station where the 18-year-old man was charged with reckless wounding in company (DV). He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Wednesday 22 July 2026).

The 16-year-old boy was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other and destroy or damage property. He was refused bail to appear in a children's court today (Wednesday 22 July 2026).
