Two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ballarat

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed two Ballarat residents have contracted COVID-19.

The new infections follow more than two months of no COVID-19 cases within the Ballarat region.

As COVID-19 restrictions continue to change, it is vitally important that we continue to do all we can to keep Ballarat safe. We would urge the following:

· If you are unwell, stay home and get tested

· Practice social distancing and regular hand hygiene

· You may wish to consider wearing a face mask when out in public as an additional preventative measure

· Be kind to and support our local businesses
