Two people have died after a three-vehicle crash on the state's south coast this morning.
About 8am (Wednesday 10 June 2026), emergency services responded to the Princes Highway, near Mortimer Road, Falls Creek, about 12km south of Nowra, after reports of a crash.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found that a car and two trucks had collided blocking the highway.
Both the driver and passenger of the car died at the scene.
They are yet to be formally identified.
The driver of one truck – a 27-year-old man - was trapped in the vehicle before being freed by emergency services.
He was assessed at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the second truck – a 73-year-old man – transported to Wollongong Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have established a crime scene and officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
