Two Men Charged for Ramming Police in Stolen Car

Two men have been charged after allegedly ramming two police cars in a stolen vehicle in Collingwood this morning.

Police located an allegedly stolen vehicle parked in a car park on Victoria Street about 10.20am.

Officers set up a roadblock and put tyre deflation devices under the car.

Two men returned to the vehicle and allegedly attempted to drive off, ramming two police vehicles.

There were no injuries and minor damage to the police cars.

A 52-year-old Collingwood man has been charged with possess a drug of dependence and possess a house breaking implement.

A 38-year-old Collingwood man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, resist emergency worker and various driving offences.

Both men have been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on 13 December.
