Two Men Injured During Altercation - Five Dock

Two men have been hospitalised after an alleged assault in Sydney inner west.

About 8pm yesterday (Sunday 6 September 2026), emergency services responded to reports of an assault outside a home on Ingham Avenue, Five Dock.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated two males aged 19 and 36 at the scene before they were taken to hospital.

The younger man is listed as being in a critical condition with the other man in a serious condition. Both are listed as being stable.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command have been informed that the older man was the alleged resident of a home on Ingham Avenue when the younger man in company with a man and woman – also aged 36 – and a 63-year-old man attended the premises.

An altercation has then allegedly occurred.

All parties are believed to be known to one another.

A crime scene was established where officers seized a pole at the location which will undergo forensic examination.

Police arrested the 36 and 63-year-old man at the scene where they have been taken to Burwood Police Station where inquiries are ongoing.
