Peter Halliday, Siemens Australia and New Zealand CEO, has been appointed as an Australian Industry Group Director. Mr Halliday became CEO in 2022, the year that Siemens celebrated 150 years in Australia'
In a career spanning over 35 years at Siemens, Mr Halliday has been involved in some of the most important building infrastructure projects in the world. Prior to becoming CEO in Australia, he held senior roles in Asia (China, Taiwan, Singapore) and Europe including as the global head of Siemens' Building Performance and Sustainability division operating out of Siemens Smart Infrastructure business head office in Switzerland.
Mr Halliday is passionate about the role of people combined with technology and digitalization in energy, infrastructure and industry to accelerate outcomes for Australia and the world – especially in areas such as the energy transition and achieving net zero.
In addition, Ai Group Limited has appointed Ms. Cheryl Barrett, the CEO of one of Australia's leading care provider's Kanda, as Deputy Chair. Ms Barrett has more than 30 years' experience as a CEO and Company Director across the health care, disability, child protection, aged care and community services sectors.
