Two More Charged After Fatal Stabbing In Prahran

Homicide Squad detectives have today charged two more people as part of their investigation into a fatal stabbing in Prahran last month.

A 21-year-old Campbellfield man and a 22-year-old Roxburgh Park man were arrested this morning and subsequently interviewed by police.

They have both been charged with a range of offences relating to the incident in Prahran, as well as unrelated matters.

The Campbellfield man has been charged with affray, intentionally cause injury, common law assault, attempted robbery, traffick drug of dependence, possess drug of dependence, possess explosives, possess ammunition, handle stolen goods, fail to provide PIN code and commit an indictable offence whilst on bail.

He will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

The Roxburgh Park man has been charged with affray, intentionally cause injury, attempted robbery and fail to provide PIN code.

He has been bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

During the warrant at the Campbellfield property, police located what is believed to be a quantity of drugs, ammunition, stolen goods and fireworks.

Today's arrests follow an alleged incident outside a licenced venue on Chapel Street, Prahran on Sunday, 20 April.

Police were told a group of male offenders assaulted a 30-year-old man, then chased him further down the street.

The Mickleham man sustained multiple stab wounds and was treated at the scene but died whilst being transported to hospital.

Last month a 35-year-old Lidcombe (NSW) man was charged with murder, affray and assault related offences, and a 20-year-old Kurunjang man was charged with murder.

The pair was remanded in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 September.

It's believed the parties involved in the incident were known to each other.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the busy area at the time of the attack who may have witnessed the incident or has any footage to come forward.
