Two Pedestrians Seriously Injured In Crash - Concord

Two pedestrians have been seriously injured after a collision with a vehicle outside a hospital in Sydney's inner west.

About 10am today (Wednesday 5 November 2025), emergency services responded to reports that two people had been struck by a car outside the entrance of Concord Hospital on Hospital Road, Concord.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the pedestrians – a 24-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man – at the scene.

The woman was taken to Westmead Hospital and the man to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Both are listed in a critical condition.

They have been identified as employees of Concord Hospital.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Police have been informed that a black Mazda CX5 driven by a 59-year-woman mounted the footpath colliding with the pedestrians.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Concord Hospital for mandatory testing.

As investigations commence police are urging anyone with information about the crash – or was in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Burwood Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
