The University of Barcelona (UB), through the Scientific and Technological Centres (CCiTUB), has recently joined the European Research Infrastructure Consortium Euro-BioImaging (ERIC), a reference project in Europe for biological and biomedical imaging, recognised by the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).The aim of this agreement is to promote joint research in the field of imaging technologies in biological and biomedical sciences. The CCiTUB will coordinate a new node specialising in live cell and in vivo microscopy, Barcelona Live and Intravital-Advanced Light Microscopy Node (BLivIN), together with the Institute for Research in Biomedicine Barcelona (IRB Barcelona) and the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG).
