Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl welcomed Iceland Minster for Foreign Affairs Thordis Gylfadottir to the Pentagon for bilateral meeting.
The leaders discussed the strength of the bilateral relationship and shared efforts to strengthen security in the North Atlantic. Dr. Kahl provided an overview of the National Defense Strategy. The leaders reiterated their unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's premeditated and unjustified invasion. They underscored the importance of addressing climate change and the impact to the Arctic region.
