UNE receives historic number of donations during annual Giving Day 2022

We Did It! UNE's #onetwogiveblue Giving Day on March 22 was a huge success. Inspired by several challenges issued by UNE Trustees, an alumna, a college dean, and Wright-Ryan Construction, a total of 931 donors raised over $164,000, representing historic levels of both donors and dollars raised.

"I am so proud of the UNE community," said UNE President James D. Herbert, Ph.D. "It is inspiring to see alumni, faculty, professional staff, parents, students, and friends joining together to support the University in this way."

Vice President of Institutional Advancement Alicia Fereday agreed. "The UNE story and experience is an exciting one, and this outpouring of support shows how it resonates throughout our community," she said.

Each of the challenges issued were achieved, including more than 150 alumni, students, faculty, and professional staff of the College of and Arts and Sciences making a gift on Giving Day, resulting in CAS Dean Jonathan Millen and colleagues taking a swim off of Freddy Beach.

To all of the UNE donors - One! Two! Thank You!
