Top athletes from across the UniSC community will take to the world stage tomorrow.
Representing the University of the Sunshine Coast student and broader community, athletes from six different sports will compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
UniSC-linked competitors will appear in swimming, athletics, netball, basketball, lawn bowls and cycling in Scotland's largest city from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, August 2.
The program of events features six para sports events fully integrated into the schedule.
The Glasgow team builds on a remarkable history of sporting successes connected to UniSC, including standout results at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games .
While some athletes are past and present students of UniSC, others are aligned via partnerships with the Queensland Academy of Sport, Sunshine Coast Lightning and Australian Cycling Academy.
As competition begins in Scotland this week, the UniSC community will be following the performances of its athletes and coaches, celebrating the impact they continue to make on the global sporting stage.
