Police from the Moreton Tactical Crime Squad (TCS) have charged two people following ongoing firearm and drug investigations.
Around 2.40pm on 5 May, officers executed a search warrant at a property on Facer Road in Burpengary alongside officers from the Moreton and Brisbane Dog Squads.
Police seized numerous 3D printed firearm parts and a loaded 3D printed firearm, as well as a 3D printer and electronic devices allegedly containing blueprints for firearm manufacture.
A quantity of drugs and drug utensils were also seized.
A 19-year-old Burpengary man was charged with unlawful possession of weapons, possessing and distributing material for manufacture of firearms and authority required to possess explosives.
He has been remanded in custody and will next face Caboolture Magistrates Court on 9 July.
A 25-year-old Morayfield woman has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils or pipes for use, and possessing property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence and accepted a drug diversion.
Officer in Charge of Moreton TCS Senior Sergeant Tom Jakes said the rise of manufactured 3D weapons is concerning and there is no place for these types of weapons in our community.
"These weapons are unregulated, dangerous, and a serious threat to community safety," he said.
"Queensland Police remain committed to identifying and dismantling this type of illegal activity to ensure the safety of our community."
