The Council holds a briefing this afternoon on the situation in Libya.
Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), will brief on recent political, security and humanitarian developments in the country and the Secretary-General's latest report on UNSMIL (document S/2025/509 ). The representative of Somalia, in his capacity as Chair of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1970 (2011) concerning Libya, will brief on the Committee's activities.
The delegation of Libya will participate in the meeting under Rule 37 of the Council's provisional rules of procedure.
