Police have laid charges following the death of a 20-year-old man in Manunda on December 21, Queensland Police say.
Officers were called to Hunt Street around 4am where a man was located with significant injures on the road.
Responding police commenced CPR, which continued until ambulance officers arrived but the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Earlier this morning, officers charged a 21-year-old Parramatta Park with one count each of drive without due care and attention causing death and failure to comply with requirements of a learner licence.
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 10.
