A man remains in a critical condition, following a single-vehicle crash near Junee, in the state’s Riverina region, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to the Gundagai Road at Eurongilly, about 15km east of Junee, just before 2.30pm (Sunday 3 December 2017), after a car left the roadway, hit a tree and caught fire.
The front-seat passenger, a 25-year-old woman, died at the scene, while the 54-year-old driver was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with critical injuries. Both are from Wagga Wagga.
Police attached to the Wagga Wagga Local Area Command are now investigating all circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
