Update on ARTC network in NSW

ARTC

ARTC is continuing to work on restoring services on the ARTC network in New South Wales that was significantly impacted by recent flooding.

Restoration works between Parkes and Condobolin (inc) have commenced and are progressing well with this section forecast to reopen on Monday 12th December.

On the Broken Hill line, the closure between Condobolin (ex) and Euabalong remains in place with track damage at multiple sites over the 70km section, with ballast and formation washed away or still under water.

John Holland has been appointed principal contractor and initial planning is underway for restoration of washaway sites with detailed recovery plans set to be completed prior to Christmas.

Based on current information available, ARTC estimates that the line between Condobolin (ex) and Euabalong is expected to reopen mid to late January 2023.
