USAID Administrator Samantha Power Meets with French Minister for Development, Francophonie, and International Partnerships

Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, France's Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships. The two spoke about continued support for the humanitarian response to meet the urgent needs generated by the ongoing crisis in Sudan, including Administrator Power's recent meeting with Sudanese refugees in the Republic of Chad and USAID's announcement of an initial $103 million in additional humanitarian assistance to support people in Sudan and neighboring countries experiencing the impacts of the crisis.

Administrator Power and Minister Zacharopoulou also discussed climate change initiatives in preparation for the Paris Summit for a New Global Financial Pact in June.
