UTA Homecoming 2020 postponed

In observance of public health guidelines for large gatherings and with campus safety as its top priority, The University of Texas at Arlington has announced that its Homecoming celebration will be postponed.

New dates for the week of events, originally scheduled for Nov. 9-14, will be announced at a later time.

UTA’s Homecoming is an annual tradition that brings the Maverick community together to enjoy spirited events such as the Homecoming Street Festival, Parade and Pep Rally, and the Homecoming 5K Run/Walk/Roll.

Though Homecoming is postponed, voting for Homecoming King and Queen will still occur during campus elections Monday, Oct. 26 through Thursday, Oct. 29. Students can visit www.uta.edu/elections to learn more.

The University will be reevaluating Homecoming and its accompanying activities for a potential date in the spring 2021 semester when circumstances and health and safety guidelines make it possible.
