Join us in our mission to empower people and communities to enrich Western Australia.
About Volunteering WA
Volunteering WA is the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia. We work to strengthen the volunteering sector and promote the value of volunteering, empowering people and communities across the state. Our vision is a society where everyone is inspired to make a difference.
Volunteering WA has approx. 28 staff who work across membership, advocacy, training, volunteer management development, corporate volunteering, marketing and events – ultimately helping to strengthen volunteering in WA.
Our Corporate Volunteering team comprises 4 Perth-based team members who manage the program, connect with Corporates and deliver ~230 team days in the metro area per year.
Our 3 Pilbara team members work from Karratha, Port Hedland and Tom Price developing important local networks and delivering over 100 corporate team days.
The Role
As our Regional Community Engagement Officer, you'll be at the heart of our corporate volunteering initiatives in the Pilbara, coordinating team-based volunteering events, assisting with logistics, and ensuring a seamless experience for both corporate volunteers and non-profit community organisations. You will play a pivotal role in helping corporate teams make a meaningful contribution to their communities, driving both satisfaction and participation in volunteering activities.
This is a people-focused position requiring initiative, and logistical, organisational, communication, and health and safety skills and practices as well as the ability to build, develop and sustain productive relationships.
As each of the Pilbara team members are based in different towns and spend most of their time in the community coordinating corporate team days, this role requires working from home (equipment provided). Culture and connection is important to
Volunteering WA and we have regular all-staff meetings, strategy days, and Teams chats across the organisation and additional support to help the Pilbara team regularly connect in-person.
Every day is different. Every week you will be connecting employees from some of WA's largest businesses with community organisations that need support.
If you're ready to use your skills to support meaningful volunteering events, we'd love to hear from you! This is your opportunity to work with a passionate team, make a real impact, and help inspire others to contribute to their communities.
