NT Government

The Territory Labor Government's vaccine rollout is taking a major step forward with every Territorian aged 12 and above now eligible to book their appointment.

Vaccine bookings are now available at Greater Darwin for all kids aged 12-15.

This is in addition to bookings online at Katherine, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek.

Children in Nhulunbuy will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine via pop-up clinics.

Territorians aged 12-15 living in remote communities will be able to access the vaccine as part of the Territory remote rollout.

NT Health has been working with the Department of Education to look at how the COVID-19 vaccine can be rolled out across secondary schools.

From early September, the vaccine will be provided to students in middle schools and senior schools through the school immunisation program.

Year 11 and 12 students will be prioritised to ensure there is no disruption to their studies and final exams.

More than 200,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have now been administered in the Northern Territory.

The vaccine rollout is continuing to progress with 61.3% of Territorians who have now received their first dose and 41.5% of Territorians now fully vaccinated.

The Territory Labor Government has achieved a new milestone with 51% of remote Territorians who have received their first dose and 32% have received their second dose.

This week, NT Health vaccination teams are visiting remote communities including Elliott, Minjilang, Papunya, and Wadeye.

Vaccine bookings are free and widely available at NT Health COVID-19 vaccine clinics, GPs and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.

Meanwhile, the new Palmerston COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will open next week at The Hub, with bookings available now.
