Van crashes into Nairne house

A van crashed through the front window of a house at Nairne overnight, narrowly missing the occupants.

Emergency services were called to Woodside Road, Nairne about 11pm on Saturday 13 January after a van left the road, became airborne and crashed into a house.

Two male occupants and their pet dog had been sitting in the front lounge room at the time. Luckily, they all escaped serious injury.

The driver, a 27-year-old Milang man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Mount Barker Hospital for treatment and to have a sample of blood taken.

SES members had to prop up the front wall for safety and the van was towed from the scene.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
