Vanderbilt University

Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development has established the new Teacher Pathway Scholarship for all admitted master's and Ed.D. students in initial teacher licensure programs and advanced programs.

The new scholarship guarantees a minimum 30 percent of tuition for initial licensure and advanced programs listed below, strengthening Peabody's mission to broaden access to high-quality graduate education for future teachers and to increase the teacher workforce. The scholarship also guarantees a minimum 20 percent of tuition to teachers wishing to grow into leadership careers in school systems through the K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy Ed.D. program.

"At Peabody, we are committed to teacher education and to increasing teacher pipelines. I am thrilled that the Teacher Pathway Scholarship will allow more aspiring teachers to benefit from Peabody's outstanding teacher preparation curriculum and programs," said Camilla Benbow, Patricia and Rodes Hart Dean of Education and Human Development.

Professional students (master's and Ed.D.) enrolled in the following programs are eligible for the scholarship:

Initial licensure programs (30 percent minimum)

Advanced programs (30 percent minimum)

Teacher leadership programs (20 percent minimum)

The Teacher Pathway Scholarship builds on Peabody's existing financial aid offerings. In 2025, 97.4 percent of admitted students seeking financial aid (excluding special education) received scholarship offers, with 86.6 percent receiving awards of 35 percent or higher.

Applicants are automatically considered for the Teacher Pathway Scholarship, and all merit-based scholarships. Learn more about this and other financial aid opportunities at Peabody College.
