Virtual art gallery showcases up-and-coming artists

Graduating students at School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University offer online exhibits, allowing access for art lovers worldwide

BOSTON and MEDFORD/SOMERVILLE, Mass. (May 26, 2020)-The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (SMFA at Tufts) is celebrating its graduating art students in the class of 2020 with two spring exhibitions. To enable visitors to safely experience the art, the shows will be hosted virtually on the SMFA at Tufts website, and are free and open to the public.

These students will have the opportunity to show their work in person when it is safe for gallery spaces to open to the public.

Graduating master's degree candidates will present their work at the Master's Thesis Exhibition posted online on June 1. This year's show is titled "As Above, So Below," named by the MFA students. The art presented at this show is the result of two years of students' close research and production with SMFA at Tufts faculty to develop their vision and shape the future of their careers as working artists.
