Vision: Assault in Kingston, QLD

Police are investigating the assault of a service station attendant in Kingston Road on January 28 and are looking for a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

About 5:22pm a man arrived on a black BMX pushbike and entered the store. He took a drink from the fridge and asked for a discount.

When the attendant stated he was unable to discount the drink, the man became aggressive and verbally abused the attendant. He walked out of the store, kicking the door as he left.

About 20 minutes later the attendant walked out of the store to the forecourt area where the man approached him and assaulted him, punching him in the head and face.

The attendant was transported to hospital with a number of fractures to his cheek and jaw and required surgery and had a number of titanium plates inserted.

Investigators are appealing for assistance to identify the man in the vision and anyone with information is urged to contact police.

The man is described as Caucasian, is aged in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 182cm with a stocky build, dark hair and a rats tail.
