Hawkesbury's Art Scene Shines: Hawkesbury Now 2026

Painting of vase of flowersHawkesbury Regional Gallery's annual exhibition and art fair, Hawkesbury Now returns in spring 2026, celebrating the creativity of artists, makers and local art societies with a connection to the Hawkesbury.

Opening in October, this year's exhibition follows the announcement of a new, more inclusive Expression of Interest (EOI) process, inviting all artists living within the Hawkesbury LGA, including both members of local art societies and independent artists with a strong connection to the region, to apply.

During the 6-week open call, the gallery received over 130 artwork submissions from emerging, mid-career and established artists, from which 55 artists have been selected to exhibit their work.

Bringing together emerging and established creatives working across traditional and contemporary art forms, Hawkesbury Now showcases the richness and diversity of the region's artistic community.

More than an exhibition, Hawkesbury Now provides artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their work, build professional practice and connect with new audiences. It also offers visitors the chance to discover original artworks, meet local artists and experience the breadth of creative talent in Hawkesbury.

All artworks are available for purchase, providing a unique opportunity to invest directly in local artists while supporting the region's creative economy. Whether you are looking for something to hang on your walls at home or a gift for someone special - there is something to suit all tastes and budgets.
