The Department of Health recently welcomed a delegation from the Malaysian Ministry of Health for a visit to the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC) in Perth.
The delegation met with Director General Dr Shirley Bowen, SHOC clinical leads and health system executives to gain insights into how SHOC supports coordinated, statewide responses to health system demand and emergency events.
The visit included a guided tour of SHOC's operations, where the delegation learned about our data-driven, multi-agency approach to system flow, virtual care and real-time decision making.
The exchange is part of an ongoing commitment to international collaboration and knowledge sharing between health jurisdictions.
