WA's defence industry capability on show at Land Forces 2018

Western Australia's defence industries will have a strong presence at Land Forces 2018, an international exposition that showcases equipment, technology and services for the Australian Army and armies of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

Held every two years, Land Forces, which commences today in Adelaide, attracts key decision-makers from government and industry worldwide.

Defence West, the State Government's agency for promoting and growing the defence industry, will host some WA SMEs on its stand, others will exhibit in their own right.

Their products and services range from high-quality equipment to expertise in communications technology, integration and engineering.

The State's Defence Advocate Rear Admiral (Rtd) Raydon Gates AO CSM, will also promote the recently released WA Defence Industry Capability Directory, and the Indo-Pacific Defence Conference, to be held in Perth on October 30, 2018.

WA based companies exhibiting at Land Forces 2018 include:

      • Geng Engineering;
      • L-3 Oceania;
      • AVI;
      • Sea to Summit;
      • Precision Technic Defence;

      • Onetide.

Land Forces 2018 runs from today (September 4) to Thursday, September 6.

As stated by Defence Issues Minister Paul Papalia:

"Western Australian industry has a long history of supporting the capability requirements of the Australian Army, including the Special Air Services Regiment based at Campbell Barracks.

"Land Forces 2018 is a great opportunity for local companies to showcase their capabilities to key decision-makers from government and industry.
