Western Australia's unemployment rate continued to decline in October with new data from the Australia Bureau of Statistics today showing the unemployment rate is at its lowest in WA since July 2012.
The ABS Labour Force report for October showed WA's unemployment rate fell from 4.1 per cent to 3.9 per cent, as full-time employment grew.
This is the lowest unemployment rate in the nation and lowest in WA since July 2012.
WA was the only State to experience a fall in the unemployment rate, which is now at least 1.2 percentage points lower than any other State.
The national unemployment rate jumped from 4.6 per cent in September to 5.2 per cent in October.
The report also highlights more than 3,280 Western Australians moved into full-time employment in October.
WA's underemployment fell 0.9 percentage points to 6.3 percent in October - also the lowest in the country and compared to a national underemployment rate of 9.5 percent.
The youth unemployment rate remained the lowest of the States at 10.2 per cent, compared to 12.3 per cent nationally.

"Western Australia's world-leading response to the COVID-19 pandemic has laid the foundation for strong economic growth.
"With investment in WA growing and more and more projects coming online, our unemployment rate has dipped to its lowest level since 2012.
"It's also meant that more Western Australians are taking up full-time employment.
"Today's data not only highlights WA success but also the economic impacts that COVID-19 has had in NSW and Victoria - with both States' unemployment rates much higher.
"This is just another reason why a higher vaccination rate is so important.
"Getting vaccinated not only protects yourself, your family and your community - it will help keep our economy strong."
