Warrnambool detectives search for two men following armed robbery

Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to locate Keiarhn Carter and Lachlan Mitchell following an armed robbery in Warrnambool., Victoria Police say

Investigators would like to speak to the pair in relation to the armed robbery which took place on Koroit Street yesterday at 7.30am.

The 23-year-old victim told police that three men pushed open the door to his motor home and demanded cash.

Two of the men were allegedly armed with firearms.

The three men left the van with the victim’s wallet and a cash tin, driving away in a red Holden stationwagon.

The victim was not injured.

Later that day detectives arrested a 26-year-old Warrnambool man and charged him with armed robbery, theft and aggravated burglary in relation to the incident.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.

Police are still searching for two men in relation to the incident.

Since the armed robbery police have engaged in several pursuits involving the red Holden stationwagon in the Hamilton, Heywood and Warrnambool areas which are now under investigation.

Investigators have released images of Carter and Mitchell who they wish to speak to in relation to the armed robbery at Warrnambool, theft of a motor car and traffic offences.

Anyone who sees the men or knows of their whereabouts are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
