The University of Warwick has announced its biggest expansion of international research seed funding to date, unveiling ten new and renewed joint funding schemes with leading global institutions across Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America.
This major investment, launched as part of the University's One World Warwick programme, marks a significant step in strengthening Warwick's position as a global research leader.
The expanded portfolio introduces multiple new bilateral seed funds. It enhances several existing partnerships, creating fresh opportunities for early-stage research, academic mobility, and innovative cross border collaboration with a variety of leading global institutions. The move signals a bold acceleration of Warwick's international strategy, enabling researchers to build high impact global projects at pace and scale.

The newly launched and enhanced seed funds support partnerships spanning mainland China, Europe, Hong Kong SAR,North America, Southeast Asia and South Africa. They provide flexible, early-stage funding to support pilot projects, workshops, and collaborative research and education initiatives with leading global institutions.

Last week,Warwick also announced a shared commitment to establish joint seed funds with Tsinghua University focused on interdisciplinary research in sustainability, carbon neutrality and healthcare and with Peking University to support new research collaborations and academic exchange.

It supports joint preliminary research, as well as the organisation of meetings, conferences, or workshops.
