The Council has appointed Wayne Rylands as the new Chief Executive Officer for the City of Ryde.
His appointment was unanimously endorsed by Council following a comprehensive recruitment process.
Mr. Rylands has worked with the City of Ryde since 2018 and has most recently been serving as Council's Acting General Manager since May 2022.
He has extensive experience in senior leadership roles in local government and has been responsible for leading staff in the successful delivery of major projects including at the City of Ryde.
City of Ryde Mayor Clr Jordan Lane said, "I congratulate Mr. Rylands on his appointment as City of Ryde's new Chief Executive Officer."
"Mr. Rylands has demonstrated his commitment and passion for working with staff and Councillors to progress the City of Ryde as an innovative, sustainable and knowledge-based City that provides abundant lifestyle opportunities for all."
Mr. Rylands will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.
