We do love to be beside seaside

Victoria's precious coastal and marine environments support a wide variety of species and habitats - and Coastcare Victoria is offering you a chance to discover them.

Its Summer by the Sea program, delivered by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, will open a whole new world to participants.

Find out all about coastal and marine environments and learn about the challenges they face.

There's something for everyone, with 20 walks, 5 facilitator listening posts, 7 videos, 6 live events, and 3 campaigns.

The program is a mix of online and face-to-face activities including beach combing and beach discovery walks.

There is also a Summer by the Sea 2022 photo challenge for amateur photographers. Choose a theme - connecting with coast, creatures of the coast or coastal colours - and get snapping.

Bayside has 17 kilometres of stunning coastline to choose from for that perfect shot.

There is still plenty of summer left to rediscover and explore beautiful Bayside. We've compiled a handy guide to make it easier for you. Enjoy.
