The Bureau's latest website update is now live with improvements that make it easier to find the weather information you need.
This update includes the addition of about 600 more town, city and place names to the weather map and easier access to your most frequently visited locations, among other updates.
With this release, Apple iOS users can add home screen shortcuts to their favourite BOM website pages.
Several enhancements have been made to search, with the 'Search for a location' box on Warnings and alerts and Rain radar and weather maps pages now showing the last 5 locations visited.
The number of clicks to get to Doppler wind and estimated rainfall radar images from Rain radar and weather maps has been reduced.
There have also been several improvements made to location-based warnings, creating consistency across the app and website.
Bureau of Meteorology CEO Stuart Minchin said this round of website updates were focused on addressing feedback sent in from users around the country.
"We've listened to your feedback and made changes to the rain radar and weather map to make it quicker to get to Doppler wind and estimated rainfall radar images, and your most recently visited locations," he said.
"More changes to radar images are planned later this year, including clickable radar site icons and radar range rings."
"We've made these improvements based on your feedback and encourage the community to continue to tell us what improvements they would like to see."
