A new chapter has begun with early works underway for Council's $110 million Glen Waverley Civic Precinct Project, an exciting investment that will transform the heart of Glen Waverley.
The project will deliver a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art Glen Waverley Library, designed with modern and flexible shared spaces to support learning, creativity and community connection.
During construction, and to ensure Council can continue to deliver what will be reduced, but essential, library services to our community, we will establish temporary library sites mid-2026 at:
Glen Waverley Library Express
Reduced adult collection.
Express drop off and collection with self-checkout option available via Monash library app.
Reduced public computers.
Glen Waverley Children's Library
Dedicated space for children's collection.
Regular browsing, borrowing, and storytime programming.
No public computers.
We know temporarily relocating Glen Waverley Library will cause some disruption, but we are committed to keeping our members and library users up to date as works progress.
It is an exciting time as we work together to deliver a bigger, better library for the Glen Waverley community.
