Western Australians are once again invited to roll up their sleeves and take part in the annual WA Beach Clean-Up, a citizen science initiative led by Keep Australia Beautiful WA in partnership with the Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
This year's event will take place at Sorrento Beach on Saturday, 18 October, from 8:00am to 10:00am, bringing together community members, environmental advocates, and volunteers to tackle marine debris and litter along the coastline.
For over 50 years, this national campaign has empowered locals to take action against litter and protect the natural beauty of Western Australia's beaches. By collecting and recording data on the types of waste found, participants contribute to long-term strategies aimed at stopping plastic pollution at its source.
