West Popanyinning serious crash

Major Crash Officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in West Popanyinning today, Sunday 23 August 2020.

About 5.30am, a white Holden Rodeo utility was travelling along Popanyinning West Road when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled before hitting a large tree.

A 19-year-old male passenger was trapped in the vehicle. He received serious injuries to his head and body and was airlifted by the RAC rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 19-year-old male driver received a head injury and was conveyed by ambulance to Narrogin Hospital.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone with who saw the crash, or who saw the white Holden Rodeo utility travelling in the area prior to the crash. Anyone with dash-cam vision of the crash is urged to come forward.
