- West Tech Fest, WA's pre-eminent technology and innovation showcase, returns to Perth later this year
- The week-long event brings together minds from across Australia and the world's technology and innovation ecosystem
- A large number of national and international investors are expected to attend
The countdown is on for Western Australia's celebrated technology and innovation showcase, West Tech Fest, which is returning to the State next month.
The Cook Government is the Premier Partner of the event, contributing $500,000 over two years in sponsorship. This support helps founders, universities, investors, corporates, and ecosystem builders to meet, share knowledge, and build relationships.
Hosted by Curtin University, the festival aims to explore transformative innovation and technologies which can elicit meaningful change across a range of sectors.
Each year the festival puts local talent on the global stage and sees attendance from a prominent lineup of international founders, investors, and CEOs, along with tech industry visionaries.
West Tech Fest runs from 8-12 December and will feature several major events for innovators and investors to attend across Perth, Fremantle, and Rottnest Island.
Events include the City of Perth Innovation Showcase and Young Entrepreneurs Showcase, West Tech Women, and the First Nations House Summit, which promotes Indigenous excellence and innovation.
International representatives from countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Thailand are also expected to attend West Tech Fest, with around a third of attendees being founders themselves.
