Western Australia coronovirus update as at 17 December

The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State's total to 843.

The confirmed case is a man in his 50s who travelled to Perth from overseas. He is in hotel quarantine.

WA Health is monitoring 13 active cases and 821 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 563 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 554 were assessed and 553 were swabbed.

There have been 594,667 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 97,507 were from regional WA.
