Western Australia coronovirus update as at 21 February

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight.

The confirmed case is a woman in her 50s who travelled to Perth from overseas. She is in hotel quarantine.

The State's total number of confirmed cases is now 911.

WA Health is monitoring three active cases of COVID-19 and 899 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

The Department of Health can confirm that case 903 has been cleared and has left hotel quarantine. The Department will not be providing any further detail on case 903 due to patient confidentiality.

To date, 22 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (15 B.1.1.7 strain and 7 B.1.351 strain).

Yesterday 332 people were swabbed at WA Health COVID clinics.
