Western Australia coronovirus update as at 30 March 2021

The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.

The State’s total number remains at 938.

WA Health is monitoring 11 active cases of COVID-19 and 918 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, the WA Department of Health has administered 47,701 COVID-19 vaccinations, including 5066 people who have received both doses. Yesterday, 2609 people were vaccinated.

Yesterday, 589 people presented for testing at WA Health COVD clinics and 584 were assessed and swabbed.

There have been 941,359 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 135,132 were from regional WA.

To date, 38 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (27 of the B.1.1.7 strain and 11 of the B.1.351 strain).
