An exciting new destination is starting to take shape in Glen Waverley's busy Kingsway.
Demolition of the old Glen Waverley library is underway as we begin construction of the Glen Waverley Library and Civic Precinct - a vibrant new community hub where people will learn, connect, celebrate and come together for generations to come.
This transformational project represents an investment of more than $110 million in Glen Waverley's future, delivering modern community spaces designed to support our growing and evolving community.
When completed, in July 2028, the precinct will feature:
- A new state-of-the-art library with flexible spaces for reading, study, creativity and lifelong learning
- A civic hall and community events space for ceremonies, performances, gatherings and community meetings
- Welcoming outdoor green spaces for relaxation, events and everyday use
- More than 100 car parking spaces, complementing nearby public parking options.

We're excited to bring this landmark project to life and share our progress with the community.
