What is your experience of our household waste services?
Recent data shows our community is managing household waste well, but we'd like to check in to see how you're going at your house. Between 10 November and 7 December, share what matters to you most - from collection schedules and affordability to reducing landfill waste and more.
Currently, through our waste services, we are:
- Diverting 71% rate from landfill - in line with State Government targets
- Achieving low levels of contamination - residents are putting the right things in the right bin
- Processing 2640 tonnes of food and garden waste each month into compost materials
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 1930 tonnes per month
We also provide a range of resources and alternative services to help you manage household waste including our A to Z rubbish and recycling guide , options to increase your current bin size and apply for a free additional bin if you have additional waste needs.
As part of our commitment to regularly review services, we are offering you the chance to share your views on household waste services in Knox including:
- rubbish
- recycling
- food and garden waste
- bundled branch
- hard waste
- alternative waste management options.
To get a representative view, interviewers will be visiting randomly selected homes across Knox. You can also have your say online via the link below.
