Hills World Cup Football Fan Zone is coming to Rouse Hill Town Centre

Get ready to cheer on Australia with your community at the Hills World Cup Football Fan Zone at Rouse Hill Town Centre! Football fans are invited to come together and soak up the electric atmosphere, celebrating the World Cup at this exciting local hub.
In partnership with Rouse Hill Town Centre, The Hills Shire Council will be screening all daytime World Cup matches live and loud on the big screen at Market Square, located opposite Rouse Hill Metro Station. Bring your friends, family, and team spirit for a festival of football right in the heart of The Hills.

YOUth can do it! Become the next Sydney Hills Youth Ambassador
Applications close Thursday, 18 June
Do you know a passionate young leader aged 15 to 24 who's ready to make a difference? This 12-month program is an incredible opportunity for young people to have a real impact in our community.
Youth Ambassadors will have the opportunity to:
- Represent Council at community events, functions, and forums
- participate in The Hills Youth Army
- lead their own youth-focused initiative and
- advocate for young people

Step back in time at Bella Vista Farm
Sunday, 7 June from 9am to 2pm
Bella Vista Farm
Looking for an easy Sunday outing? On the first Sunday of each month, Bella Vista Farm is open for tours, with volunteers from the Friends of Bella Vista Farm sharing stories of the homestead and its history.
Stroll the gardens, meet the resident sheep, browse the Trash & Treasure stall and plant stall, and explore inside the heritage buildings. Enjoy a Devonshire tea or BYO picnic while listening to live music from the Hills Shire Symphony Orchestra.

Unleash your inner artist at Easel & Eats
Wednesday, 17 June from 6pm to 8pm
Henry Rooke Room, Vinegar Memorial Community Centre
Grab your friends and get creative at our FREE YOUth Skills: Easel and Eats session.
Enjoy delicious snacks as you paint your own masterpiece.
This event is for Hills residents aged 12-24. No prior art experience is required, and all equipment will be provided.

A page-turning evening with Ali Lowe

Join us for our Repair Fair, a FREE community event where you can explore a range of repair and reuse stalls, chat with skilled volunteers, and learn practical tips to help give your items a second life.
While repair sessions are currently full, there are many free activities and workshops happening on the day (no bookings required) including:
- Drop off any unwanted bikes, scooters and e-bikes for reuse or recycling
- Live demonstrations using 3D printers for repairs
- Mobile phone repairs
- Repurposing power cords into baskets
- Propagating plants for your kitchen garden using reclaimed items
- Games and crafts
- Meet real sea creatures, and more!

Shoot your shot in our Waste Calendar Photo Competition
Submission close on 30 June 2026
Your camera roll on your phone might be hiding the perfect shot taken in The Hills.
Submit your best shot of The Hills for a chance to be featured in Council's 2027 Waste and Recycling Calendar.
A total of 13 photos will be featured in the calendar, with one image representing each month and a standout photo displayed on the front cover. The front cover winner will receive a $100 Coles/Myer gift card, and each monthly photograph winner will receive a $50 Coles/Myer gift card.
Photos must be taken within the Shire, must not feature people or faces, and must have been captured within the past two years.
