White Doesn't Care That She Broke Law

Liberal Tasmania
  • Michael Ferguson Deputy Premier, Treasurer, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Planning, Member for Bass
  • Labor Leader Rebecca White is arrogantly attempting to hide her guilt after being caught out breaking Tasmania's Charter of Budget Responsibility Act.

Section 6 of the Act clearly states:

The Leader of an Opposition party is to publicly announce a fiscal strategy statement.

Does Ms White honestly believe attaching Labor's statement to a Shane Broad media release and sending it just before close of business really complies with the Act?

Ms White's disregard for this important integrity safeguard is breathtaking.

Labor has also had to be dragged kicking and screaming to submit its election policies for independent Treasury costing.

Ms White today revealed Labor only started to submit its policies 4 days ago - half way through the campaign.

When it comes to integrity, watch what Labor does, not what it says.
