Wiley and ACEP Launch Career Resource Center to Over 38,000 Emergency Physicians

New career site will help fill the pipeline for this critical profession

HOBOKEN, N.J. - November 1, 2022 - Wiley (NYSE: WLY), a global leader in research and education, and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), an association that promotes high quality emergency care and advocacy for emergency physicians and patients, today announced the launch of emCareers, a career center solution focused on filling the pipeline for this critical profession.

A Wiley Partner Solutions brand, Madgex, is a market-leading provider of advanced job board software and career center tools. Through Madgex, Wiley and ACEP deepened their ongoing partnership to launch emCareers in September 2022. The site serves as a destination for the latest job opportunities, careers news and advice, and professional development resources for emergency physicians at every stage of their career. The emCareers site also helps hospitals and medical centers nationwide find the most qualified professionals in the field.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has been a reminder of just how important emergency physicians are - both in times of crisis and every day. We are excited to partner with the devoted health advocates at ACEP to deliver specialized career resources for emergency physicians and hospitals across the country," said Jay Flynn, Wiley Executive Vice President and General Manager, Research.

"Madgex's job board tools and expertise will help ACEP to elevate the level of career support provided to its members by ensuring an excellent user experience, utilizing the latest emerging technologies, and allowing the exchange of data with other ACEP systems. We were very grateful to the Madgex team for their excellent support during the transition," said Mollie Pillman, ACEP SVP, Member Engagement.

The success of emCareers is an example of Wiley's ongoing commitment to providing practical solutions that help researchers and practitioners thrive in their careers. This announcement comes on the heels of the launch of Wiley Partner Solutions, a new Wiley Research division that delivers open access resources to scientific publishers, societies, and corporations, and Wiley's recently announced partnership with the International League Against Epilepsy to develop the Epilepsy Knowledge Hub.
