Witnesses sought to suspicious behaviour

A man has been arrested in Angle Vale after alleged suspicious behaviour around children.

About 6pm on Saturday 30 December, a report was made about a man was seen acting suspiciously around children in a park in Angle Vale. A description of the man and his vehicle was provided to police at this time.

The following day, about 6.30pm, following an investigation police from the Northern District Child & Family Investigation Section stopped the suspect vehicle, a white Holden Cruze, and spoke to the driver, a 35-year-old Marden man.

The man has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault and two counts of driving disqualified. He was refused bail and is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday 2 of January. His car was impounded for 28 days.

Police are investigating a second reported incident of a similar nature which occurred in Henley Beach on Sunday 31 December. Enquires are ongoing to identify if this is linked to the previous matter.
