The World Meteorological Organization has announced the winners of its 2027 Calendar Photo Competition , showcasing spectacular photographs that capture the beauty, power and impact of weather, climate and water from across the world.
Photographers were invited to share their perspectives on this year's theme, "Your Weather, Your World", focusing on the extraordinary ways in which weather, climate and water shape lives, landscapes and daily interactions.
From dust storms sweeping across deserts in Kenya and the United States of America, and lightning on city skylines, to ancient baobab trees at sunset in Madagascar, to the impacts of extreme heat and weather on lives and livelihoods in Antarctica, Myanmar, and Norway, - each winning photograph tells a unique story.
"A powerful photograph brings to life how weather, climate and water shape our lives. My thanks to the many excellent professionals who contributed to one of WMO's most popular annual traditions," said WMO Secretary-General Celeste Saulo.
