Woman arrested for arson Glengowrie, South Australia

Detectives have a arrested a woman after a unit fire at Glengowrie this morning.

Police and fire crews attended an apartment on Rellum Street just before 9am on Sunday 27 January, after a member of the public reported seeing smoke billowing from the unit.

The second floor unit was fully engulfed in flames when patrols arrived but fire crews quickly brought the blaze under control. The unit was completely destroyed by the fire. The unit situated underneath was also damaged by the fire.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene and will allege the fire was deliberately lit.

The 37-year-old from Glengowrie is currently being interviewed and is expected to be charged with arson.
